Handel’s Messiah: Rideau Chorale

  • Southminster United Church 15 Aylmer Avenue Ottawa, ON, K1S 4R2 Canada (map)

I am thrilled to be part of a very special performance of Handel’s Messiah with the Rideau Chorale, as the ensemble celebrates its 10th Anniversary Season. This milestone concert promises an evening filled with artistry, community, and the timeless power of one of the most beloved choral masterworks ever written.

Under the direction of Kevin Reeves, the Rideau Chorale brings together a remarkable lineup of Canadian soloists: Ania Hejnar (soprano), Mark Donnelly (countertenor), myself, Jean‑Philippe Lazure (tenor), and Alasdair Campbell (bass), all accompanied by full orchestra and special guest artists.

Handel’s Messiah has captivated audiences for centuries with its emotional depth, dramatic pacing, and soaring choral writing—from moments of contemplative serenity to the triumphant “Hallelujah” chorus. It is always a privilege to share this masterpiece, and I look forward to bringing its beauty and meaning to life alongside such outstanding colleagues.

This concert takes place at the beautiful Southminster United Church, located at 15 Aylmer Avenue in Ottawa, a warm and resonant space that enhances the magic of this seasonal favourite. Join us on:
